I just bought a spare Xbox One Kinect for £30 About 45 dollars and the USB adaptor and as far as I can see it functions as expected, I can play with stick men etc. I have seen plenty of posts about using the 360's Kinect as a webcam, but cannot find any reference to using the Xbox One's Seen plenty of people jumping in with 360 solutions when the question relates to Xbox ONE's.
